Measurement of parts with various devices and instruments

Sigma Automotive provides various measuring devices and instruments through its quality controllers, including calipers, micrometers, gauges, and rulers. For measuring parts with small tolerances, calipers are used as the primary tool.

Calipers are the most commonly used instrument in workshops and are employed by our controllers for measuring external and internal dimensions as well as depths of parts. Calipers offer greater precision than rulers and tape measures.

Another important, high-precision instrument available at Sigma Automotive is the micrometer. This tool is used for measuring small lengths, in the micrometer range, and operates on the principle of converting the rotational movement of a micrometer screw into linear movement.
